Designed by renowned architect Renzo Piano, the museum combines contemporary urban aesthetics with a forward-looking character. As the curtain wall consultant and construction team, we used advanced Northglass technology to create a striking museum facade and refined glass balustrades, adding a cultural landmark that combines art and function to Taipei's Xinyi District. An open-joint system and double-skin curtain wall balance high transparency with energy efficiency and thermal insulation.
Design Concept and Features
Renzo Piano's design emphasizes lightness, transparency and dialogue with the environment. Low-iron Northglass on the museum platform facade and balustrades gives the building a contemporary, lightweight presence. The double-skin curtain wall improves energy performance, while the open-joint system creates natural connections between indoors and outdoors and a layered, visually transparent spatial experience.
